Gallery Bench

New York, NY, 2012 | Role: Design and fabrication

A gallery in New York’s Lower East Side commissioned an indoor-outdoor bench for their intimate gallery space on Orchard Street. Designed to flip from one side to the other, one face of the bench is undercut on one side to accommodate the sloping sidewalk, while the other is level.

Materials: Clear-finished natural plywood with hardwood nosings and matte-laquer finished plywood.
