Sundays Studio is a wellness-focused, non-toxic nail care brand. For their new space in Hudson Yards, we designed an intimate retail space that “feels like home” yet includes all the components of a salon. The reception, retail space with a tea bar, and manicure space are screened from the main space of the mall by an custom louvered wall. Set back and further screened from view is a semi-private pedicure space and a private treatment room. Two prep rooms and a restroom complete the space, allowing for efficient operations.

A limited palette of white, oak, and peach upholstery defines the space, accented by carefully curated objects and plants. Two upholstered oak banquettes provide seating for pedicures, with integral exhaust and a shelf for clients’ bags overhead.
